About the Role
Atlanta Home Technologies is seeking a skilled and client-focused AV Sales Engineer to design custom audio-video solutions and support our sales efforts across residential and commercial projects. You’ll collaborate closely with our sales team, assess client needs through site visits, and translate those needs into system designs and compelling proposals. From technical drawings to project handoff, you’ll ensure each solution is both practical and high-performing.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, sales, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
 Sales & Client Engagement
- Attend site visits with sales reps to assess client environments and identify AV opportunities.
- Build strong client relationships and generate leads through consultative interactions.
- Contribute to strategies that expand our client base and drive new business.
 System Design & Proposals
- Create Statements of Functionality (SOF) and Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on client goals.
- Develop labor and cost estimates, signal flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Maintain organized files on client and network drives for team access.
 Project Handoff & Technical Support
- Review awarded projects with project managers and the CAD team.
- Create a Technical Scope of Work for field operations and support installation scheduling.
- Update documentation based on project changes or site conditions.
 Product Knowledge & Business Development
- Evaluate vendor offerings to recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to represent the AHT brand and generate leads.
- Provide technical support to sales and field teams as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- CTS certification (CTS-D preferred)
- 3+ years in AV system design, field engineering, or technical sales
- Ability to interpret architectural/AV drawings and diagnose complex system issues
- Familiarity with Crestron, Control4, Lutron, DSPs, conferencing systems, and LAN networks
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Confident in client-facing environments
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
 Technical Skills

🔹 System Installation & Setup
